My Diet Staples

Posted by Lynn on May 28, 2010

I shared a few entries ago that I feel guilty whenever I eat. It feels like I'm getting back the pounds I have already lost. It's psychological most definitely. I have that fear of gaining weight whenever I eat no matter how small the amount is. I was even worried I might be developing an eating disorder.

Seven Suites

I went to Seven Suites Hotel Observatory last Saturday, March 27, for its relaunch. I heard about it from my friends and thought of joining them. My friend can bring along one more guest so I decided to push through with it. It's a weekend after all.

Red Flower

I don't know what this flower is called but I like it. I saw this last Thursday when I attended church but I did not bring my camera at that time. I made it a point to bring it this morning so I can take a snapshot of this.

My husband craved for corn on the way home. I have no idea why. He must have seen someone along the road eating or peddling corn. I wanted some too but I still can't eat corn straight from the husk because of my braces. Quite simultaneously, we thought of our corn in can at home.

There is a mock-up sarisari store (variety retail store) inside the restaurant. Pure collector's items. According to one server, some items were donated by loyal customers. Friends from Facebook commented that they do read Liwayway and komiks when they were young. I do read those movie magazines that you see, Orig and Kislap. Haha.

Chocolates of the World

Posted by Lynn On 12/18/2009 11:44:00 AM
The change in weather caused the sniffles I've had since last week. It's still a bad cold. Not getting enough rest aggravated my low resistance to virus. Coughing ensued. I listened to my body so I cut down on other activities. I did not drop by the gym this week to use the time to rest. I thought I'm covered but I have developed a sore throat caused by eating too much chocolate.

Life is fair. I am on a forced diet since I can't eat much to compensate for my absence in the gym.

But before the nasty sore throat I craved for the moist chocolate cake from Conti's last week so my husband bought a whole cake. Three days after I had all these chocolates. Chocolate overload.

Don't mind the magazine in the background. I always have an MJ magazine with me and I browse when I am home whenever the feeling hits me.

Anyway, I love most of the chocolates in this jar. My favorite is Swiss Delice Rotondini. It tastes almost the same as Lindor Truffles, my favorite chocolate in the world.

The jar containing 2 pounds worth of chocolates is still half-full. My sore throat prevents me from taking even a tiny bite a day. My daughter is NOT a chocolate lover and I'm happy about that. My husband is so-so. I devour all the chocolates in the house you see.

Thanks to my mom for including this in one of their packages. It's Kirkland Signature, Chocolates of the World. I love it!
